OCTG Casing & Tubing Pipe
OCTG (Oil Country Tubular Goods)
Refers to steel pipes used in oil and gas wells for drilling, casing, and tubing. They are critical for well integrity, fluid transport, and pressure management.Oil Country Tubular Goods is a collection of rolled metal products such as drill pipe, casing and tubing, line pipe, couplings, connections, and accessories that are useful in the production of oil and gas. These OCTG products are manufactured according to the specifications set by API (American Petroleum Institute). Under the API specifications, OCTG oil and gas pipe is graded under more than ten different grades, depending on their performance and the materials used. OCTG products can be either seamless or welded. They are available in different sizes and lengths.

Common OCTG Steel Grades:
API 5CT J55
Type : Casing/Tubing
Low-cost, moderate strength.
API 5CT L80
Type : Casing/Tubing
High strength, corrosion-resistant.
API 5CT P110
Type : Casing
Ultra-high strength for deep wells.
API 5CT C90
Type : Sour Service
Resists H₂S (sour gas) corrosion.
Material Types:
Carbon Steel (J55, K55, N80)
Standard grades.
Alloy Steel (L80, C90, P110)
Enhanced strength/corrosion resistance.
Stainless Steel (13Cr, Duplex)
For corrosive environments.
Common Applications
- Unconventional
- Deepwater
- Shallow Water
- HP/HT & Deep Wells
- Horizontal & Extended Reach Wells
OCTG pipes include:
- Casing Pipe: Protects the wellbore from collapse & prevents contamination.
- Tubing Pipe: Transports oil/gas from the reservoir to the surface.
- Drill Pipe: Used during drilling to circulate drilling mud.
